I have a partial KZ1000 frame I'll be chopping for parts, but when I'm done I was considering cutting out the bottom of the frame to use as an engine stand to get this engine running and tuned up before mounting it back in the bike. I believe I have enough spare parts from the electrical system to wire up a fully functional test rack.
Is this feasible? If I weld legs on the framework to give clearance to the exhaust pipe, how wide should I spread the legs to give the engine solid support? Any other suggestions?
