are we talking using stock pistons? :ohmy: any time you up compression you will get more torque compared to stock....... :dry: more compression = more heat the engine has to get rid of.... and you may need to run higher octane fuel to keep it from detonating, depending on the pistons compression ratio :ohmy: ...... :pinch: unless you dealing with a warped cylinder head ....it's better to go the thinner base gasket route IMO.. no two Kawasaki Z engines were identical as there are production line tolerances built into them + or - .002,.005,.010 etc. setting deck height is done in blueprinting to get the best performance with the combination of parts you have.......IMO :lol:

I would not shave the head down and farther than you have to. Theres better ways to get more power than shaving the head down.

usually .005-.010 thou will get things true again.Won't notice a difference in power but will keep her from leaking.Safe practice in my opinion...

Didn't you have your 810 milled .025"?
