I once saw a small note in Motorcyclist (I think) mentioning a deep sump produced by IIRC Swiss frame builders Egli. Don't recall exactly when , but it was definitely for the pre-J engines, so guessing 1980 or thereabouts.

Cheers,

I have that pan on my 78 Turbo Bike. It holds a extra quart and also comes with a extended pump pickup . Think I gave 100 bucks for it in 1980. Don't see many of them .

I have one exactly the same for my 1428 motor I got a Turbomaxx billet pump to go with it.
A few people made them and they are copies of the EGLI sump.
The EGLI ones are MAGNESIUM and have EGLI cast on them somewhere so clean it up and see.
It's worth $$$$$ if it's a genuine Magnesium EGLI item.
The copies are ALUMINIUM and are worth what you can get on ebay etc, I didn't pay much for mine (it's a copy).
They will fit the GPZ's too.

Nope not an egli i didnt clean it real well but cant see any stampings on it bought the engine for the top end- (junk) trans (mkii trans in good shape) and cases (broken crank bolt that still wont budge, wasted $300 cuz i was told it was all good, not true

And while i cant find a deep pan on ebay i guess it's not worth a ton either. Its a big pain getting a normal kz engine out of the frame i wouldnt wanna try with a deep pan on it

Yup, not building a turbo bike here, so the pan is gonna sit around for a while i suppose

Off this 1980 mkii motor this pan came off of i have a good crank and a good trans the 903 cylinder and head it had on it though are toast.

Thanks for the info folks.

I have watched 2 or 3 sell on eBay over the last 3 years and they went for about $250 to $300. The condition of the sale pans was very good to mint as yours is very rough.
