Strange transmission issue

Ok. Switched to Rotella oil and took it out form about 3 miles and it was still slipping. Adjusted the clutch engagement and gonna take it out in a lil while and try. Fingers crossed.

Did you get a chance to clean up the clutch plates as 650 Ed suggested before using the new oil? If not, the old oil could well be causing the problem as it is still coating the friction plates. Hopefully you have a Wallmart near you....My local one sells Rotella 10-40 for $12 a gallon, also change the oil filter.

I didn't get a chance to take the clutch plates out, but I warmed the bike up good, let it sit a few mins, then drained the engine out well and blew out as much more as I could with an air compressor, Changed the filter and got the gallon of oil for $13 at Advance Auto parts. Gonna download and print a new manual and may check the clutch plates this upcoming week as I have a new 530 chain conversion coming on tuesday.
