What size heli coil kit ngkB8ES kz900?

I searched around the forum search and saw some stuff..i'm going to use the cheap kit for now and not a timsert...What size so I can buy the tap and heli coil set
It is not stripped all the way but the plug spins right before it will torque down and is getting loser....I am going to do the engine next year and will have it apart to re-do with a timsert if need and just need it to last until this fall really....
I know it is a simple thing but any tips and advice for doing it in place/quick-fix..valves closed...air compressor tip...wax pack the tap threads for catching the grit...go slow back it out...snap the heli holder tab off..lock tight......shot or two of parts cleaner and a ext tip and then blow out the hole a few times turn it by hand slow blowing and repeat...anti seize thread goo the new plug...
am i missing anything other than the size of kit I need to find

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI bet I can get a cheap kit at a local place...

Yes M14 x 1.25....

Got mine @ Checkers Auto Parts, Auto Zone has them as well.... ~ the same price minus shipping so call around....

No issues in using the tool....

Use the 3/4" long insert.
Grease the Tap, to catch the shavings. Even though they're Aluminum, you don't want them in the cylinder.
Make sure you don't have valves open, might be able to hit the tap if you thread in with that stepped one.

ok great thanks folks...the 1.25 part was throwing me as I know the 3/4" is the insert, now i get it 1.25 is the 14m thread pitch...duhhh....got the kit today with a few different size inserts and it was 32.00 at a auto place ...and will do it soon...
:whistle: ...this was found last night and my buddy was expecting me in his driveway at 7:30 a.m for spin this morning :blink: ....went for a 50 miles blast,forgot about it at one big set of sweepers... :blush: up to 100 plus at one point and the loose plug stayed in...got done with lunch and started the bike and the plug was rattling around...pst-pst-pst-pst...kinda angle threaded it back real quick and limped home another 15 miles...these old bikes are tough suckers...made it home and in the shed it went till I have time to do more work and fix that plug...thanks all...
