kz550 1979 electrical problem. help!!

This is wierd, i have my key switch disconnected and even like that my instrument cluster stays on, ive gone thru all my wiring harness and they are all with their respective colors. Maybe im missing one that could be connected wrong?

Go to your instrument connections. Pull them, and use your meter or test light on the harness end of those connectors and find which wire/s have power. Record and post the colors.

Brown and red/blue wires have power

Well Brown is supposed to be switched through the ignition, so if it is hot at the harness end of the instruments. I'd unplug the ignition switch next. Then recheck it. On the wiring diagram, they will show the Ignition switch contacts in each switch position. That way you can test the switch.

found the problem, my regulator was bad, replaced it and problem solved, thanx for ur imput though
