How do I know the exhaust is original? Should they say Jardine on them somewhere?

Nope. Jardine is an aftermarket pipe. OEM would be chrome double walled 4 into 2... I think. Someone will surely correct me if I am wrong. My wife does all the time! Paul

I always thought that the OEM pipes on the early KZ were manufactured by Jardine, however the pipes dont have any labels etched on them, I could be wrong.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Hey nascar, new guy? Any chance you just buy this bike near Charlotte? Been sittin since 84 with minor damage? Came with a set of those pipes re-chromed? From an older Gentleman named Tom?
I am still kicking my own ass for not going down there and getting the bike I am talking about!

But yes, they were made by Jardine for Kawasaki's LTD models. I am not sure if they have there name stamped anywere?

'76 KZ900-B1 LTD was fitted with a 4>2 exhaust system specially made for Kawasaki by American Jardine Co.
The pipes are single wall -- not double-wall.
If a part no. is stamped on the mufflers, would be 18001-199 on the left and 18001-200 on the right.

Good Fortune! :)
