Hey everyone.
I finally got my 81 KZ550 running and idling after converting the pods the previous owner installed back to the air box. It ran great the first time I turned it on after putting the carbs back on yesterday. Today I noticed during the first minute of running it seems to work fine as long as I set the petcock to the prime setting before switching it back to the on position, however it idles a bit high. After the first minute there is a big drop in engine power and the bike seems to idle right above its stalling point. Adding more than 1/8 throttle will bog the bike and stall it. The carbs have just been cleaned and I'm out of ideas.
Does anyone know what this could be?
Thanks
