The piston for the KZ200 arrived. I'd like to take it to the machine shop today. The rings are on their way but won't be here until Monday. Can I have the shop bore the cylinder with the piston measurement or do I need to take the rings with me too?
Thanks
Thanks

The machine shop can bore the cylinder without the rings and you need the cylinder bored before you can set the ring gap. Paul

Got everything back together. I was getting 60 PSI cranking it with the electric start. After the rebuild it's up to 175. Waiting on a couple of gaskets to get in and it will be ready for the road. My buddy bought it off me and can't wait to pick it up. He was adamant about buying a small bike. It will be a sight watching him and his wife ride off on this tiny KZ 200.
The shop charged me $50 for the rebore and to grind the valves/seats. Working on a single cylinder bike is nice for a change.
