Does this look normal on Coil?

Is this normal spot on coils? Its on both coils, top and bottom 3/4 inward from the elect connectors - &+.....

1998 KZ1000P, original parts i think. 36,000miles. Retired airport police bike.

I took the eng covers off last year, polished and put parts back correctly...NOT...I know i put these coils on wrong and road it 10miles, was not pretty miles either. I been researching internet for about 20yrs. Found out how coils route finally.

So maybe I burned them like this?

I will try to test them as I found your nice right ups on testing.(Jettfigther guy)!But I am curious as to if these little burn markes are normal orig casting markes...

They might be injection molded ? Maybe someone has experience with that process. Test the voltage to the coils and the coils.

Leaving the key on for extended periods will fry them. Roy

Any doubt, replace them old coils. Get some Accel or Dyna coils. Much hotter spark.
