I searched on Google for "Kawasaki KZ1000 Turbo Kit" and found this at the top of the list:

Turbo Kit

If you'd done the search yourself, you would have seen the other 3000 hits.

The crack you speak of it the blowoff valve and many of us guys building or runningkz turbos are draw thru carb and we don't have a blowoff. To get that noise you'd need blow thru set up and a manifold to the carbs with the bov on it there's a lot to it.

I think there is a kit out there to reproduce that sound for a whole lot less money than going with a turbo. Turbos aren't for the timid! it can and will hand you your ASS just when you think you have it all under control. But it doe's make for a fun ride, nothing like 3rd gear power wheelies.

yea i know all about turbos on cars and how to install run and tune but for whatever reason i couldnt find info on how to set it up on carbs, making the manifold and all the rest is easy but breaking it into 4 carbs and all that jazz lol i dont get lol cars only have one intake lol but i would only plan on running a small turbo with like 3-5 lbs depending on how the power change is lol but fun rides are deff what i like lol

Here are a couple pictures of what it should look like. Turbo up front, thru the intercooler, then to the carbs or injectors. Figure 5 to 8 Grand easy regardless of low boost or not

Good Luck.

Hey Leon,
From one hotrodder to another I must agree. ;)
These KZs were made to run wild. And I do all I can to make sure our passion to go fast and dominate the motorcycle world lives on.
Cant see the point in a 3 to 5 pounds of boost turbo , But to each his own.

That bike is not mine. I found those pictures while surfing last year and admired the layout and execution of the design. It is a great example of a custom turbo setup. Design is a lot like a Kaw 750 Factory turbo, just bigger.

I run 15 to 20 pounds of boost all the time on my bike and I take it up to 30 when someone needs to be spanked or my son is on it and he is not afraid of it at all.
Here is a picture of mine . Its a Mr Turbo Kit I installed in the early 80s. So I can testify if you build them right , they will last.

that black turbo intercooled kz belonged to a guy that goes by turbo wade, theres a utube vid of him running a flat nine after kick starting it, its a very nice ride, i prefer les holts tho, the craftmanship is amazing.
