Trying to keep my cool
07 Jul 2013 16:12
I want to add an oil cooler to my 82' 750 ltd. Will any GPZ 750 oil pan fit? Is the turbo pan usable?

I don't think the Turbo pan will even fit, it's to different.
Any air cooled GPz750 pan with an oil cooler should work.

Go to these websites:
www.redlinecycle.com
www.americanclassix.com
www.reproductiondecals.com
www.z1enterprises.com (I know they have fittings for the Kz Z1/900/Kz1000/1100's, but ask, as they might know how to put an oil cooler on your bike).

Use GPZ750 oil pan. Oil cooler can be whatever you want. A thermostat is welcome if you live in cold weather.
For instance, I have used a GPZ750 oil pan, used HD Shovelhead oil cooller, used HD thermostat and some meters of 3/8" oil hose.

I happen to have a complete Lockhart oil cooler kit that will work. It came off my KZ650 but will also work on your bike if you are interested.
