KZ400 440LTD engine swap

I recently picked up a complete 1983 KZ440 LTD (belt drive). It needs gone through, but allegedly ran when parked. My intent is to fix it up, ride it, and sell it. The LTD style isn't top on my list, but I love the standard 400/440's. Soo... now I may have an opportunity to pick up a 1979 KZ400 for cheap, but the motor is weak, leaking oil, etc. I've searched and found a few threads that suggest that it may be possible to replace the 400 engine with the 440. It looks like some minor fabrication on the motor mounts may be required. Does anyone know for certain whether a direct swap is possible? What about the electrical aspects of a project like this? Thanks in advance for any help.

They are a direct swap.
Only difference is the counter sprocket/front pulley.

Awesome. Thank you. Unfortunately the KZ400 was sold before I could get to it. I still have another project to finish up before I tackle the 440 LTD, perhaps another Standard KZ will present itself soon.
