I have the K&L brand from Z1E and it works well...pricey, but it works. The design allows you to spin the motor and work on it upside down.

I just use a engine stand with some long i bolts. Then use the factory or long bolts with washers to fasten to the i bolts. It allows it to rotated also. It worked great for me.

This did great for me too must of rotated it 8 or 9 times each way while cleaning.

29.95 at farm and fleet for the stand, and then 15 for the bolts washers and nuts along with a 2 foot piece of 1 and a quarter inch angle iron. Wedge a 2 by 4 in the front of the motor to help support the weight when not rotating.
