I have to remove my head an cylinders to install a heli-coil in
A stripped out tensioner bolt hole ( I didn't do it). Anything else
I should do since I've got it apart? I've never heard this engine run,
But the compression was good when I tested it. And will I have to
Adjust the valves again? Thanks.

Well that depends... This could potentially be a huge can of worms you are opening. Once you find one small flaw, it is easy to end up stripping your engine down and splitting the cases to clean, inspect for wear, and replace out of spec parts. It can be a costly, time consuming process.
Personally, if you intend on getting some riding in this summer, I would suggest checking your valve clearances, change the oil & filter, then ride. Save your projects for the winter...
Just my 2 cents

Why not just use an over sized bolt? I almost stripped my tensioner mounting bolts (bogus torque in the Clymer's manual) on my KZ900. But stopped and just used some tread lock just to be on the safe. My tensioner mounting bolts are 6M. So if I have to I can go to a 6.5M. Someone told me they are available and I would assume the tap would not be hard to find as well. Just an option. I would think, that the option to heli-coil would still be an option if I decided to go that way next time I have the head off.

Thanks, guys.
I think I'm just going to fix the bolt hole, install new gaskets, clean/ de-grease, check the clearances and go.
