1982 KZ750 LTD Vibration issues
18 Jun 2013 22:14
I have a 1982 KZ750 LTD with 24k miles on it. The bike runs great overall, but when I hit 3500-4000 rpm in any gear, there is a very loud, metallic buzzing/vibration. It doesn't affect performance, but is loud, and is making me worried that something is breaking. Any advice or ideas?

It could be a loose bolt holding a fender, muffler, etc. Check all the fasteners to see if any of them are loose and tap those things with you hand to see it anything vibrates. Also check where the speedometer cable etc. run through any wire retainers to make sure those retainers don't buzz or rattle if you tap them. Ed
