Hey,

I've been trying to find a replacement Alternator Rotor for my '81 KZ1000 LTD - K.

Can't find one anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of where to look???

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThat is listed on Kawasaki.com as still being an "Active" part, so any dealer can order it for you, but they are pricey. Ronayers.com lists it a $329. There is a new old stock one on eBay (see below) but they are asking a bit more than ronayers. Maybe a bike breaker will have a used one in good shape as the same part number was used for Police bikes up until at least 2001. Ed

I had one break loose, but fortunately discovered it before any extensive engine damage could happen. Replaced it with an Electrex RO3 rotor, which was expensive and required some part modifications as it was not a direct-fit:angry:
The original Kawasaki rotor bolt had to be shortened about 3/8", and material on the starter clutch gear hub had to be removed due to an internal taper position difference from OEM at the crank. It was well-worth the effort though.
