KZ 1000 won't start

Hello all I am new to the site but coming on board extremely frustrated. I have a 1982 KZ 1000 LTD that I have stuck a lot of money in and now after restoration it will turn over and has good spark but refuses to fire up. I just reinstalled the carbs after being rebuilt by a reputable Kawasaki dealer and still no luck. If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks in advance

Remember; when starting a KZ...

To start a cold KZ engine the drill is as follows:

Fully charged battery
Petcock "On" (or "Prime" if vacuum actuated)
Kill switch in "Run"
Choke On
Ignition key On
Do not touch the throttle at all.

With the above done pull in the clutch lever and hit the start button
OR
Don't pull in the clutch lever and use the kick starter (if your bike has one).

Do you have a shop manual ?

Who hooked up the hoses ?

Are all the float bowls filling with gas ?

Is the bike stock ?

If not , what mods have you done ?

I have an '81 LTD so same same. Need to eliminate the simple things. 650ed touched on it, verify you have fuel to go along with that spark. Double check you coils and wires are connected correctly. Should be left coil #1 and #4 cylinder, right coil #2 and #3. Retrace your steps. If it ran recently, focus on those things that were removed or replace. Report back. Details, details.
