13 mm Shim Pool Anywhere? was created by Mid life crisis
Hi.

I have a couple of 1981 KZ750-E2 bikes, and I am trying to set the valve clearance on my parts bike so I can see what the compression is like on that engine.

Are there any shim pools on this site? There was one for my KLR650, and all you did was post what shims you have and then people would trade them around.

If so, I am looking for a 225, 235, and a 240.

If not, does anyone know a good Canadian place to buy them? I would get them from the dealership, but I have to buy them in sets of two. The American sites end up costing a lot due to duties and other hidden fees.

Thanks for looking.

The good thing about Z1Enterprises is that they label the box "old motorcycle parts" which is true but also means no duty and also I get them to ship regular mail so no courier brokerage fees. On the downside though Canada post is not the fastest so it takes about 10 days to get a package to Southern Ontario

Ah...it looks like Z1 is the place to go. Without the duty and all of that, they are actually a good choice.

Thanks for the help. I will order from them.

I'm sure you've probably ordered them by now, but another good place to check is Ebay.

I love Z1, but I found if you need four shims or less you'll save money on shipping picking them up from Ebay since most sellers offer free shipping.

Yep, I have already ordered them from Z1. I purchased a few other things as well, so the shipping wasn't too bad based on the amount I was buying.

I did look on Ebay before and I found some shims with free shipping, but I couldn't find them again when I went to order!

Oh well. I just want to get the parts so I can get this thing going!

Thanks for the thought. It is appreciated.
