Gearchange shaft and clutch pushrod oil seal z1100
12 May 2013 21:12
Hi, as well as a weep from the grommet on the alternator cover where the cable goes through the grommet I think I may also have a leak from the two areas mentioned above.
I've read elsewhere on the forum the gear change shaft seal is a simple job but the clutch rod seal is a split the crank job on some bikes.
I'm working on a kz 1100 a-3
Would anyone be able to she'd some light on this and any tips?
Thanks in advance
Dave

Kawasaki.com will have the parts fiche for you to look at an exploded view. Its the J engine 1100, all the seals are on the transmission cover, under the sprocket cover and sprocket. Replace all of them at the same time.
