metal shavings

Hey guys, I was replacing the stator cover gasket on my 82 kz 1100 shaft and noticed metal shavings sticking to the magnet. The shavings were hairlike slivers and not chunks. I was wondering if this is normal wear and tear on a 30+ year old bike or should I be concerned. I would appreciate any input on this matter.

Clean it up, change the oil and filter then at the next oil change re-check.
