no fire

was riding my 1978 kz1000 and it just up and quit and no it has no fire on it anyone have any ideas what the problem may be

Do you have lights, ignition etc ?
If its electrical then check main fuse, loose battery terminal.

Ignition points, or does the bike now have electronic ignition, like the Dyna "S"? The Dyna's have a weakness in where the power supply attaches, as it's prone to corrosion and failure like this. The solution is to solder the joint,and cover it with heatshrink tubing, rather than use the supplied "Splice".

As suggested, check and replace the fuses. They are the AGX size,some auto parts stores carry them, and also at boating supply stores too.
