Hmmmm. Where there is a will, there's a way I suppose. What is he using for a pickup? I didn't see a pic of that.

He is using my design for the HEI module and stock Kaw coils, but there is not enough dwell control to use those GM Cavalier coils. He will overheat the modules and the coils.
A much better design would switch out one of the diodes after intial startup. Then it is nearly ideal.
Even just eliminating the external bias, and running the intended W terminal bias would be better than the two-diode bias. But still not ideal.
