I didn't read it but it could ruin your spark plug ground qualities if you use too much so an occasional blast of carb cleaner never hurt anything.

It should not be used on spark plugs - see link for explanation. Ed

Of course you didn't read before answering. What else is new.

From the Permatex site:
A premium quality copper anti-seize and thread lubricant that may be used to prevent seizing, corrosion and galling where high temperature conditions exist. Contains a high percentage of micro-fine copper flakes in a semi-synthetic grease carrier and is fortified with high quality rust and corrosion inhibitors. Temperature range: -30°F to 1800°F (-34°C to 982°C).
Provides good electrical conductivity.

I don't know if I mentioned it but I went to tune up the taurus sho 6 cylinder for the first time in 30k miles and it is running great on all 4 cylinders. so as threadlock may not be necessary for ngk I did not know that thanks for the help. does the lining melt over time?

Is it advisable to use anti-seize when using SS bolts into aluminium (read: motor)...and when torquing head bolts now I am a bit curious about the efficiency of the torque wrench if (as in the article Ed posted) "As much as 90 percent of the torque applied to a fastener is used to overcome the friction of the interfacing surfaces" Seems that a lot of factors could affect the proper setting, for example if there is a tiny bit of oil on the threads....

Where do you guys come up with this stuff  I do believe the Torque-Tension Relationship to the Clamp Load has been disturbed by a Lack of Ground. Therefore Common Sense need not apply to anything coated with a lubricant when screwing.....

The Permatex 133K advanced formula says its made of alum, copper and grafite so it should be good for lube and conduct electricity just fine. I wouldn't feel right not using it after all these years.
