Head/spark plug hole advice?

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a bit of advice regarding my 76' 900 and an issue I have been dealing with for awhile . The previous owner had crossthreaded/stripped/helicoiled 2!!! Spark plug holes over the years that he had it. Sometime in the next year I am going to do a top end rebuild and valve job, and while I am in there I want to address this problem. One of the helicoils started to come out last time I went to change the plugs, so I just put it back in and have been riding on a prayer for the last 2 years that it doesn't foul.

So, I would like to know anyone's opinion on my options. Other than this, the head is in good shape. The way I can see it I have 2 options -

-"New" head?
-Find some sort of oversize diameter spark plug and ream the hole and tap in for the larger diameter?

I have heard of this being done but never heard any personal accounts and I am not sure of the availability of such plugs...

Cool, I'll check it out

get the kit from shucks and get a hammer, it has an attachment that smashes it in there so it won't come out.
