Aluminum cam end caps was created by Kitten Tooth
I got them aluminum cam end caps from Z1E for my 1981 KZ1000LTD. They are the ones that come with the length of O-ring. I was wondering.. do i have to use any type of sealant with these or do i just use the O-ring?

I've been looking at these also.
If I recall reading correctly, a light amount of sealant is recommended.

I know they work because my dad installed them on his bike (He too owns a 1981 KZ1000LTD) and the sealed up awesome. He says he recalls using some Permatex black on it hit he wasnt for sure.. so before i start slathering everything in sealant and torquing down bolts i figured id ask you guys :D

My manual says the end plugs are supposed to be installed with some non-permanent sealer.

I thought the aluminum kind needed some fitting?

New at this myself. My engine is an '80 KZ1000 LTD. I am using my engine for something other than a motorcycle. Will be interested to see opinions.

Yes you will need to put some sealant on them. I used the red rtv. It worked great and no leaks. Mine didnt require any fitting. Just clean up the mating surfaces. I dont like the rubber ones. After a couple times they start to leak and get hard. I used to run aluminum ones on my kz head. Then when i steped up to the j model head, i had to get some. Unfortanly when i was looking for mine, the only place that carried them was american classix. But i havent had the first problem with them yet.
