Having an issue with my clutch. First issue is going from 1st to 2nd it is difficult to push into gear. Takes a couple pushes up to get it there. Second issue is bike feels like it is dragging at first then picks up. It feels like the clutch is not completely disengaged until I wail on the throttle. Any help would be great. Going to start with an adjustment this evening.

Have you tried adjusting it using the instructions in the Kawasaki Service Manual? Ed

Be sure to follow the instructions in the owner's manual or the factory service manual. Some Clymer manuals are ambiguous as to which way you're supposed to turn the clutch release adjusting screw (the KZ650 Clymer is in regards to the 81 model).

Does anybody know what the process is for my bike specifically?
