Homeade float level tool?

I went and got a grease fitting but the threads were to large. Maybe I can find a smaller one. Does anybody have any other suggestions as to what would be easy to get my hands on to make something to get my float levels right?

Float tang is adjusted to achieve desired fuel level as shown by the clear tube test.

I know, and I need to pull the drain screw and put a banjo type screw with a nipple on it into the hole with a tube on it. Can't find that kind of screw yet. Been looking. The best I could find was a grease fitting. But it was too large. So before I go back all that way maybe somebody knows exactly what I'll need beforehand.I have 26mm vm's.

The "special tool" is not required.
Just use tubing size that fits snugly or "self-threads" into the drain hole.

Slight minimal seepage won't invalidate the test.

Good Fortune! :)

Thanks Patton got a 2mm clear hose from pet store in the aquarium section. Fit snug with no leaks as you said. #1 was too high as I figured. While I was in there the main jet was very loose and about to fall out. Maybe this is the culprit to the sputter over half throttle? We will soon find out...
