exhaust
31 Mar 2013 16:56 - 31 Mar 2013 16:59
No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationso i'm looking at replaceing my exhaust as the one that came on the bike is rotting out.
just looking into my options and not seeing alot of 4-1 headers + exhaust options out there.
do the kits for the kz650 work on the 550 as well? or are the pipe diamiters and spacing off?

No, the 650 pipes will not fit the head of the 550, spacing is different.

Your wallet will be wheezing if you find a complete Kerker system. The Mac header is ok, but the muffler is crappy. I would get the Mac, then try to find a used Kerker muffler to fit onto it.

Are you looking for a header for a KZ550? If so I have a friend that has a header for a KZ550. He says its a KerKer, I don't know because it doesn't have a badge on the muffler. If this is what you're looking for, I'll contact him for a price and get back to you. He lives in Chicago. I also have a header but its for a KZ650 which I know won't fit a KZ550. Let me know what you want to do. I'll try to send you some pics.

Does anybody know if the camshafts for a KZ550 will interchange with a KZ650?

interesting as the muffler seems to be fine on the existing exhaust which i believe is a kirker.. but the header is toast.
the kirker is the only one i have seen that has the same bent up muffler like mine. . . just surprized its rotted out as its been in texas sence new..

Arttodd, if cronk or anyone else doesn't want it... I may have a need for a 4-into-1, and I live in Chicago. My buddy needs one for his KZ550. He's going to go look at one in Plainfield, but it is a racing header that blocks the oil filter.
If your friend's header is to the side, we may be interested.
