so from what I understand connecting exhaust reed valves with a hose will close them off.

My engine, who knows if it is original-kz750ee011229, has the emissions hoses on carbs 2 and 4, which coincidentally those cylinders lost a lot of compression right before my valve adjustment.

I have noticed closing the throttle will cause it to pop and that would be when the vacuum hoses would get the most pull.
