Kawasaki Cam Cap Bolt Torque

12ft/lbs is almost enough to pull the threads out . 10ft/lbs is enough to keep the bolt in . 8ft/lbs will work in clean and dry threads . 7ft/lbs will work in new , clean , dry threads but may loosen up .

Get a small range toque wrench (like 200 - 300 I-P max) to do the 90 - 100 INCH-POUND twist. If using a high range wrench (like 50 - 100 ft-lbs maximum) the accvuracy will be lousy down below 10 ft-lbs.
