cam cap bolts was created by brianrae33
just recently had all my cam cap bolt holes timeserted..was wondering if i should use some locktite on the bolts when installing them..and all the bolts will be new..any advice appreciated..

Kawasaki Cam Cap Bolt Torque
12ft/lbs is almost enough to pull the threads out . 10ft/lbs is enough to keep the bolt in . 8ft/lbs will work in clean and dry threads . 7ft/lbs will work in new , clean , dry threads but may loosen up .

Torque to between 8 to 10 lbs.

Get a small range toque wrench (like 200 - 300 I-P max) to do the 90 - 100 INCH-POUND twist. If using a high range wrench (like 50 - 100 ft-lbs maximum) the accvuracy will be lousy down below 10 ft-lbs.

X2 in/lb torque wrench is the way to go!
Over 30 years with z1's, Currently down to only one 75, a j model dragbike, and 2 KZ1000 dragbikes.

X2 in/lb torque wrench is the way to go!
