Head swap 650C-1

I tried doing my homework on this one but I'm in over my head(s) so to speak. I have a 77 650C-1 with much valve and head problems. I found a head for a 79 650B3. Would this swap work? I did find that the 79 had the auto cam tensioner and mine doesn't. I'm talking swapping the whole shebang...head, valves everything above the piston tops.

That should work fine. Kawasaki.com gives the same part number for the C1 and B3 head. Ed

Yes it will work, done it numerous times. Generally if the engiens use the same style cam chains then the heads are interchangable.
