I did a preliminary search and didn't find much. I wonder if anyone else has had trouble with the oil coolers leaking at the connection to the oil pan. I found mine had dumped a fair amount onto my exhaust yesterday, so I pulled the exhaust, drained the oil, tried to clean the surfaces, put some black permatex on them and snugged 'em back up.

It's still leaking today. I wipe it clean, then ride it and see a droplet at the bottom, waiting to fall, and my exhaust stays freshly oiled, too. It's certainly not dumping, but it's not making me feel good.

Has anyone had a problem similar to this? How did you solve it?

Sorry! I totally noobed.

Droplets of oil form on the bottom of the bracket holding the lower channel to the oil pan. I wiped it off pretty good and rode it around - the leak is way less bad now with the Permatex. I'm thinking I'll ride it like this a while, order the 12mm O-Rings and, if it comes back I'll mix a more thorough cleaning into my next oil change.

I still could use some advice here. I'm also worried about stripping these threads.
