Ok so heres the low down... a few days ago i was riding my kz tearin it up the norm and all of a sudden i hear this funky noise. Sounded like a valve sunk and my piston was banging into it i thought i blew it up. I got the bike home ripped it all apart and what i found was the chock plate screw came loose and got sucked in. It banged up my piston and camber the damage isn't bad the cylinder walls aren't even scratched It's all rebuildable That's why im relieved. So anyways im in need of just a head gasket i don't need the complete gasket set. Would anyone know where to get just the head gasket. I can't find anything online. Thanks Andy...

What carburetors are you talking? I rebiult a set for the 81 KZ1000, I think they are 34mm Mikunis and I dont remember needing to put locktite on the choke, I hope I dont have to. As for Z1 I never had a problems with them and I find them very helpful and courteous, and by the way if you are reading(Donthaveakawman) I do run the same filters on all my bikes and they do work very well.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

I have the cv 34's I take them all off the racks and ultra sonic clean them before i put the bike away in the fall. To get the carbs off you need to take all 8 screws out and the plates slide out and the carbs come right apart. Takes awhile.

I run those filters. I personally like them. There small and easy to fit inline. I ran my 1075 kit with 36 flatslides and never had a problem with fuel starvation. I will be running them on my 1327. hopefully they will still keep up.
