Z1/K&L Valve Shim Kit Question

Just purchased the valve shim kit from Z1. I have a quick question - why are the shims smaller than marked in the tray?
Tray marked 3.00 Shim itself marked 2.90
Tray marked 3.00 Shim itself marked 2.90
1982 Kawasaki KZ550 LTD

Did they give you a list of shims,were they marked?
Maybe they just got put in wrong bin of the box
