nothing better than owning a bike :)

nothing worse than them owning you

but others think different...oh btw...that bike was gone as soon as it posted :P

The bike was posted on Feb 16th, the add is still up and the seller said its still available a couple days ago. If somebody else wants it go for it! If I didn't have the Shaftie and a second bike I would buy it.
I totally agree with you about stuff owning a person. I'm comfortable with the stuff I have now, a couple years ago I had a 1946 airplane and must have worked on it 3 hours for every hour I flew it. No doubt that thing owned me.

Ercoupes are a pretty cool plane.
Along with my mk2 and yamaha, I have a 1947 c140. It's still in the project stage though.

Yeh, the 'coupe was fun. I bought it as a project too, spent every spare minute over an entire winter finishing the rebuild. Between the hundreds of hours of work and $10k I lost when I sold it, it leaves me a bit bitter about airplanes. But then the fact that airplanes are expensive should not have been a surprise
C-140's are nice, nice to have flaps, rudders let you play around too! Can't beat an Ercoupe for flying around on a sunny day with the windows down B)

Smart man!

I agree that Z1R's are much cooler than Shafties. I needed a project and the Shaftie popped into view. I think I sold my old Z1R back in about 1982 for $1200 :silly:
