Yes indeed, understandable Ed....
Same time, we've all had these 30 year old bolts snap without any real torque being applied.... Hell just happened to me actually where was just turning in the bolt and the damn thing snapped... I was like, you have to be freaking kidding... :laugh:
Anyhoot, good advice from Ed/others where if you have a decent torque wrench use it...

Best to avoid the redneck technique of tighten until it strips, then back off one-half turn. :ohmy:

I have had them break when taking them out and that's probably because some one over tightened them before so I replace them with new ones. My 2 cents

well ive already tore the head back off and am bringing to a good machine shop here in ohio..and getting all new bolts as well...better safe then sorry...thanx for all the input..
