So I am well into my rebuild now, and would like to install the motor in my fresh powder coated frame. But the head wont be done for about 2-3 weeks. Can I get the head on with the motor in the frame?

Can I get the head on with the motor in the frame? -- Yes.

Would recommend acquiring an official Kawasaki Factory Shop Manual, which includes engine dis-assembly and engine re-assembly procedures, in frame and out of frame.

Good Fortune! :)

Thanks! I have the original Clymer, but it dosent show or tell that information. You may be right on the factory manual. I have completely disassembled this bike, and I mean COMPLETELY. Powdercoated the cases, and removed every bolt and removable part. This Clymer is good but I find it short on complete assembly information. Just reverse disassembly, is the usual answer. Dont suppose you know where there is a download for the factory manual?
