White smoke/ oil out of the airbox
10 Feb 2013 22:37
I just replaced the oil filter, put in the recommended amount of fresh oil, cleaned the carbs, and cleaned out the gas tank. Finally went to start it today and it idled for about a minute, then spit out white smoke like it was born to do it, and oil started POURING out of my airbox vents. It's on a 1980 KZ750 H model, with the inline 4. I'm so pissed right now, but need your guys' help. What the fuck just happened?

Check oil level in sight glass with bike straight up and down to see if its over filled, should be just below top line in sight glass

Would also check for gasoline-contaminated oil in the crankcase.
Do the sniff-test, and also physically examine the oil.
Perhaps the recent carb work resulted in substantial volume of gasoline rising up into the carb throat (for whatever reason) and ultimately making its way into the crankcase.
Good Fortune!
