case sealer was created by shadow44
OK I got the factory recommended threebond case sealer and went to put the case together. That stuff dries too fast. it was almost dry before I got the 2 together. then I broke a main bearing bolt. so I am on hold I ordered some APE main studs, but my question is... Has anyone used Loktite 518 alum flange sealer? It looks like thick grape jelly. I have used it on small air cooled engines, it what Kohler recommended back years ago when i went to their tech school. I think it would have a longer handling time, and would rather use it but I dont want any case leaks. Anyone have first hand experience?
