Gday guys
Im looking for a Straight bolt in set of cams for a GT 750 (kz 750 spectre shaft motor with gpz cams)
im looking for a fair hike in performance and want them to be streetable......within reason :)
the bike is also getting a wiseco 810 kit, dynojet stg 3 and a free flowing exhaust.

i know i will have to get valve springs aswell, so where do i get a good set cheap online?

do cams from bigger models (900/1000/1100) bolt in or is that it?

i want to buy them outright no exchange or sending them over for a regrind as im in Australia.

thanks

650/750 cams are the only ones that bolt in.

Are you sure that you have GPz750 cams stock? GPz750 cams shift the power band into the upper rpm range and are weak on the lower and middle rpm range. I don't believe anyone is currently making cams for the 650/750, but Webcam lists a regrind that requires you to send in a set of cams, perhaps you could find someone here to sell you a set of 750 cams and have them shipped directly to Webcam and then on to you (just an idea).

I think the 900/1000 valve springs may work on the 650/750, but you might check with APE to verify that.

megacycle does too. they both "make" your new cams out of kz650/750 and gpz750 cams, so if you want to keep driving your bike while you are getting the cams done, buy the cheapest set of the 3 and send them away. i think i saw some really cheap 650 cams on ebay awhile ago...might be something to look into

Apparently they work on the 650, so I think they ought to work on the 750 also.
I still suggest contacting APE or Jeff at Z1 Enterprises to make sure though :)

You might take a look at the GPz750 FAQ in the "Links" section to the right, maybe there is some info there.

There is more than one version of the GPz750 FAQ, and I don't know if this is from the version in the links section or not.

I've often thought of trying some stronger valve springs and perhaps I will someday. If I do it'll be a set of APE springs made for cams with up to .460" of lift. Schnitz Racing (800-837-9730) offers a complete set of APE valve springs to fit the Kz650 through 1100 2 valve motors ( part # VS 900K) for $46 plus shipping.

Keep in mind that this is old info and the prices have increased :)
