Sorry, my first post is for a problem. I'm french so my english is not very good...
I have a z1000st from 1980.
I bought a Oil Cooler Fittings KZ900/1000 and other things some month ago at z1enterprise.
Now it is monted on my bike but I have a big problem :
This item is not conductive so the oil pressure indicator doesn't light anymore ! I can't roll with that problem...
Do somebody have a trick to allow the indicator to work properly ?
Morevover, I have a second oil sensor, is it possible to put it another place on the motor ?
I hope you would be abble to help me.
Best regards,
Purplehaze13.

I'd remove the engine sprocket cover(on the left side) and check the wiring going to the oil pressure sensor/switch for damage. Also see if the switch can be tested with a multimeter for electrical continuity with the engine off. Your switch may have failed internally.

In fact the wiring and the sensor are OK. When I take the sensor and I put it in contact with the frame ground, the lamp is lighting properly. The problem come from this item that is not conductive...
Maybe I must do the same thing. But I prefer to have a light on the handlebar that I can monitor while riding.MFolks wrote: Get a proper oil pressure gauge. Here is the one on my ride, works perfect.

In fact it's very simple :
There is a surface treatment on all the fitting so it can't work directly... I limed at a bracket screw head side. Must also lime in the fitting where the sensor make contact. I find it is a bit silly that the designers have not thought about it but the main thing is that now it works!
