Get your carbs out of sync, then say that :)

Rattle on the lower left side is usually the primary chain (inside the motor), if it only does it at idle then it's almost certainly the primary. Sync your carbs and it should go away.

Nothing to worry about either way, and there is no adjustment.

Welcome to KZR

it s hard to diagnos noises 1200 miles away, if you could look a lil closer to let people help figure out your problem .it could be an exhaust clamp or a broken exhaust pipe or a valve out of adjustment or a starter cover rattle or any number of things ,help us help you. For those of us that aren't jedi knights in the ways of the force

Kind of reminds me of a commercial (supercheap auto) we had in Australia where a guy has a rattle in the dash of his car. Goes out and buys a full set of tools and starts ripping the dash apart, then he goes to remove the ash tray and finds a set of (looks like) bolts rattling away.

First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, 1983 fully recon motor fitted LOVE THIS BIKE
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as FJ above)

Does it remind you of the 100's of times this question has been asked on this board over the years? :)

Probably the second most asked question, after "why won't my bike shift into second when it's parked or not running".

Mine picked up a bad vibe/rattle on the left side
at the drag strip Friday night.
Throught I'd trashed my motor.

Turned out the glass in the left bar end mirror came loose
and was vibrating bad.
