The diagrams at Kawasaki.com show a gasket; it is probably aluminum.

Kawasaki.com says it's part number 92065-097. That's the same as the one used on the KZ650's, so it is aluminum as martin stated. It is still "Active" so any dealer can get it from Kawasaki if they don't stock it. Ronayers.com lists it at a whopping 29 cents each. Ed
