Virgin crankshaft was created by OldSchoolHr
I have one question, I'm not quite familiar with American slang so it may be a little wacky  ,
but my old ebay trader OinkJohnson always use term "Virgin Crankshaft" when selling the crankshaft!?
What does this really mean? I guess it's nothing sexual

He's just saying it hasn't been used yet. There might be a little room for interpretation. But I'd expect something being sold under that terminology to not have ever been run in an engine. Or maybe to never have been installed in an engine.

Unmodified or unprepped for racing applications, out of a stock engine.
To find a new/unused original crank would be rare.

A few years ago there was one unused on ebay, brand new, sold out for more than $1500

Unused, original parts get crazy. That's what I paid for my whole bike, running, and I overpaid. That's what I would have thought virgin would mean, but I'd definitely take Les's and Wired's word over mine.

Id be worried about all the bearings being seized up on an unused 40 year old crankshaft! :woohoo:
Unless youre planning on putting it on display in a glass box I dont see any reason to spend $1500.00 on an unused crankshaft myself anyway :woohoo:
