before you get too far I'd check valve lash. Your going to have to take the valve cover off anyway for a freshen up so why not? At 9500 miles you may just be real tight on lash which will kill cylinder pressure. Just a thought.

Hi Guys,

Problem solved !!! The green wire from one of the point sets had a bare spot and was intermittently shorting out.
