Does Vance and Hines 13013 fit 79 kz1000E1 shaft? was created by Roadflyer
I have a Mac chrome 4-1 pipe that came with my shaftie when I bought it. The pipe is OK but not up to the rest of my restoration for looks. The mounting tab at the rear of the pipe is about 3-4 inches back from the rear footpeg mount and it was connected by a black steel strap, the look is cheesy. So my question is, will the vance 13013 street pipe mount on the footpeg bolt like it should or come with a make shift mounting strap too?

Most headers require some sort of mounting bracket between the 2 B)

That's what I was afraid of. i'm so tempted to cut this one off and weld a new one on that will fit under the peg bolt the way it should.
