flat black rat rods with red rims & white walls... does it get any better?
KZ750 parts needed... where to buy? was created by PunkPhilosophy
Hey KZ RIDERS! I am Bobbing my 1980 KZ750 (4cyl) an as of right now I need a few parts for the motor... I need to know where I can go to buy these things. Here is what I need: complete engine gasket set/kit, timing chain guards, timing chain tensioner, a carb rebuild kit... and I have a fair ding in one of the cylinders, so I think I will bore out all the cylinders. That being said, what is the next size up I can go... 5 thou or 10 thou or what... I am not looking to SUPER bore these cylinder, just bore enough to take care of the ding in the one cylinder.
So there you have it, bunch of questions about parts, this is my first build... please point me towards some places online that understand what I need, thanks!

www.ronayers.com/
is cheaper on OEM parts, and the shipping is cheaper as well. I've pretty much stopped buying any OEM parts from Z1.
Seals are not included in gasket sets, but I have a complete set of new OEM seals for the 750 4 that I have no need for.

A couple of places sell manual tensioners. I think some auto tensioners can be converted to a manual type, which would be the least expensive option. I hope I'm right about that. hee. It seems like wireman or someone mentioned it recently.
KZR member APE Jay (KZzone.com) sells the manual type. He has a link in his signature.
Clem's Garage (Krieger) is another.

I did a search and found Redline Kawasaki Parts. I put in an order for my 1977 KZ 1000 and found them most helpful. Regards Neil
