No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationYou can replace the Cam Cap. These Caps were machined with the Head that they came with respectively. So when you acquire a few for fitment purposes, you will be trying them out to see if when installed the Cam will turn without binding. You may go through a few Caps before finding one that works.

Don't be scared. :)

Of course it could never hurt to have a spare head.

The damage probably is not that bad.
Someone has bolted the cap down with the cam off to one side and chipped the casting.
Maybe the visible damage is the worst it gets as it's broken off a bit of casting at the thinnest point.
I see it a lot and even though the cam may float it is never enough to cause trouble.
as long as the camchain and sprocket bolts can't chew the head casting or the cam lobes run off the shims it'll be ok.
Rotate the engine by hand while pushing on the end of the cam to see how far it will go left and right I'd bet there isn't that much movement.
If the engine was running fine camshaft wise and there's no sign of something touching where it shouldn't you haven't got a problem.

Awsome thanks sed I tryed to move the cam and it wont budge I even tryed to add a little pressure with a screw driver with a rag wraped around it and 0 movement :woohoo: . It ran perfect before I took the valve cover off I was getting the classic noice at 3500 to 4000 rpm and took the valve cover off to inspect the chain idler and its nice and loose so I'm replaceing it and found the 650 bucket and the chiped cap. I think I will just put the new idler on put the valve cover on and leave it be for now then save some cash and pull the head off and just send it to Jo at pitstop for his $311.00 rebuild.
