Simple Timing Question

Quick Question on setting the ignition timing Dyna S I pulled the dyna checked my advancer
its snapping back and working freely put everything back where it was originally
fired the bike up at idle turned the igniton back and forward til it seemed i found a sweet spot
took it for a spin runs better

i found my working timing light and the F mark is juft right of the timing mark is that advanced or retarded?

I feel retarded by asking but I have always timed my cars by ear or had my guy do it to set a specific advance. with a light

any performance tips or will i gain something by linig it up exact? 78 KZ1000 Dyna S Accel coils

If it spins clockwise (like I Think it does) It's retarded. It would be firing after the indicator thus showing up to the right. This will cause High exhaust temps so be careful not to burn up your engine.

Thanks thats what I feared i bumped it up (to what I thought was advanced the other day)
but couldnt find my timing light so I moved it back
